Bicycle tours in Hallein

Since time immemorial, the Alps have held an incomparable fascination for people. Though for centuries a terrifying place of perils and legends, the hikers and bikers of today love and yearn for this mighty rock edifice, filled with so much magic and beauty. With the new north-south crossing from Salzburg to Venice, a long-cherished dream finally comes to fruition.        

The first stage begins in the middle of the magical Old City of Salzburg City of Mozart, leading you on a leisurely ride southwards next to the River Salzach, and into the mountains of Salzburg’s Limestone Alps, past numerous natural monuments, high rock faces and impressive gorges.    

The Tauern Cycle Trail follows the rivers Salzach and Saalach, offering wonderful natural scenery, and a host of castles, palaces and little towns along the way. 

Der Salinen-Radweg wurde aufgrund der Salzausstellung 1995 in Rosenheim geschaffen. Er führt entlang der Soleleitung, der damals ersten Pipeline, vom Österreichischen Hallein über das Salzbergwerk Berchtesgaden und Bad Reichenhall durch den Chiemgau bis nach Rosenheim..

Vierter Tag der Fernradtour von München nach Grado und erster Tag auf dem AlpeAdria. Start ist in Salzburg und wir fahren über den Pass Lueg entlang der Salzach bis St. Johann.

Zweitägige Radtour auf den Spuren alter Salzhandelswege von Rosenheim nach Hallein in Tirol.

Dieser Abschnitt des Salzhandelsweges verläuft im ersten Abschnitt ausgehend von Hallein entlang des Tauernradweges bis nach Rif. Am Rifer Spitz zweigt der Radweg linkerhand vom Tauernradweg ab und führt den Radfahrer bis ins Ortszentrum von St. Leonhard.
