Hiking in Westerwald

This Wäller Tour shows Waldbreitbach and the Wiedtal from its most beautiful side. Magnificent views from the heights, the idyllic Wiedtal, the monastery St. Marienhaus and numerous paths ensure hiking pleasure. 

The certified premium hiking trail Brexbachschluchtweg leads 16.4 km from Grenzau through the wild and romantic Brexbach valley and offers great views of the Rhine plain and the Westerwald.

A refreshing walk always along the water! This 9 km long circular path is especially suitable for families with children and is ideal for a hike in summer.

Magnificent panoramic views, lovely stream valleys and historical buildings are the highlights of the eventful Wäller Tour Iserbach loop. The 20.8 km long route is quite demanding, but a shortcut enables the Iserbach loop to be divided into two moderate stages.

Attractive landscape combined with historical and geological features, charming views and sites of Christian faith, also called "devotional path".

The Wäller Tour Augst leads on approx. 14 km kilometers with varied ascents and descents past historically significant sights, such as the Sporkenburg castle ruins near Eitelborn.A connection to the Wäller Tour Augst is also possible in Simmern and the access road with a total length of 3.5 kilometers signposted from there.

Fantastic distant views and a partly very demanding profile: this circular tour makes some demands, but the efforts are richly rewarded.

Bat in the Laubachtal. A hike for children: Here even the little ones can learn about bats, marvel at caves and enjoy nature.

The Klosterweg as a certified premium hiking trail crosses the Rengsdorfer Land as a route stage for almost 18 adventurous kilometers and connects the Rheinsteig in Rengsdorf with the Westerwald-Steig in Waldbreitbach. A constant alternation between ascent and descent through three stream valleys and fantastic views make the Klosterweg a unique hiking experience in the Westerwald region.

Here the name says it all: the "Romantic Lake District" adventure loop is a varied tour that always offers beautiful views of lakes and ponds.
