Historic Weserbergland

"Time's footsteps - relive them"  

The project "Historisches Weserbergland" involves the coming together of 14 towns and 9 historic sites in the Weserbergland and is unique in Germany. All parties to the project have committed themselves to meeting certain quality standards, to be able to offer visitors a higher quality stay. The objective of the project is to reappraise the history and culture of the towns and to make them more vivid. To achieve this, there is information about accessibility, better signposting in town centres as well as historic tours.  

The historical towns are:
Bad Pyrmont, Bodenwerder, Bückeburg, Dassel, Einbeck, Hameln, Hessisch Oldendorf, Holzminden, Höxter, Lügde, Rinteln, Stadthagen, Stadtoldendorf, Uslar

The historical sites are:
Corvey Abbey, Fürstenberg Castle, Hämelschenburg Palace, Pyrmont Castle, Bevern Weser Renaissance Castle, Bückeburg Castle, Lippoldsberg Abbey, Schaumburg Castle, Stift Fischbeck
