The former hunting lodge is now used as a hotel.
Bensberg Palace, built in the 18th century, was inspired by the architecture of Versailles Palace and Winchester Castle. After often serving as a military hospital in the late 18th century, the castle was used as barracks from 1840 to 1918. From 1965 to 1997 it housed a Belgian grammar school, after Belgian occupation troops were accommodated here after the Second World War. Bensberg Castle was then converted into a hotel.
