Friedelhausen Castle
Castle
· Lahntal
· 172 m
Built in 1852 in the English style, the castle is hidden in the forest near Lollar.
As if it did not belong here, an English-looking castle with four towers stands in the middle of the forest. No wonder, because around 1852 Baron Adalbert von Nordeck zur Rabenau had this "New Castle" built for his English wife Clara in the English Gothic style. The castle became a real history through the visit of the poet Rainer Maria Rilke, who spent a whole summer in Friedelhausen in 1905 at the invitation of the Countess of Schwerin.
Opening hours
The castle is privately owned and can only be visited from the roadside.Coordinates
