All areas relevant for testing meet the quality criteria of the label "Accessibility certified - accessible for people with walking disabilities and partially accessible for wheelchair users".

• There are two marked parking spaces for people with disabilities.
• Building and terrain are steplessly accessible. The ramp to the main entrance is 20 m long and has gradients between 6 and 10 %. Alternatively, the step-free gate to the outdoor area can be used.
• All evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are accessible without steps.
• All evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are at least 90 cm wide.
• The information/cash desk is 113 cm high.
• The paths on the outdoor area are easy to walk and drive on and have maximum longitudinal gradients of up to 7%. There is no seating available.
• The exhibits are predominately visible when seated and information is predominately readable when seated.
• Guided tours for people with walking impairments and wheelchair users are offered. A reservation in advance is necessary. Mobile or fixed seats are available. The entire route is stepless.

Public toilet for people with disabilities

• The manoeuvring spaces are:
  in front of the toilet 150 cm x 158 cm; in front of the washbasin 200 cm x 110 cm;
  left of the toilet 26 cm x 70 cm and right of the toilet 105 cm x 70 cm.
• There are grab rails available on the right and left of the toilet. The grab rail on the right of the toilet can be flipped-up.
• The sink is wheelchair compatible.
• An alarm trigger is available.

• Information on the exhibits is provided in writing. There are interactive stations (listening, playing, touching, smelling).
• There are no guided tours available for people with hearing impairment and deaf people.

• The entrances are visually rich in contrast, but not recognizable by a tactile change of floor covering.
• Some of the paths on the outdoor area have visually contrasting and tactilely detectable sidewalk boundaries.
• All evaluated and usable areas for the guest are well illuminated, i.e. bright and glare-free.
• The signage is designed in clearly legible and contrasting font.
• The exhibits are usually well illuminated.
• The information on the exhibits is provided in writing and is visually rich in contrast. Information is not available in Braille or prismatic font.
• There are interactive stations (listening, playing, touching, smelling).
• Guided tours for people with visual impairments and blind people are offered. A reservation in advance is necessary. Tactilely detectable exhibits are integrated in the guided tour.
