The Gail'sche Park in Rodheim is an excellent, unique example of an English landscape park in the Lahn Valley and Central Hessen.

Translated with (free version)

The park was created at the end of the 19th century in the declining era of English landscape gardening in Germany according to the Lenné-Mayer school, mainly by the well-known Frankfurt garden architect Andreas Weber with the participation of Wilhelm Gail as the client. The ensemble of villa and park, with a pond as the central element in an exceptionally beautifully modelled area, represents a total work of art. The curved layout of the recessed paths and the grouping of trees can be described as textbook. The staging of successive park pictures on a small area is impressive.

Classical forms of expression, such as the construction of lines of sight, the inclusion of the surrounding landscape and the skilful placement of park buildings can be found in numerous ways. A Swiss house, the clock tower, the pond house and a playhouse are picturesquely integrated into the park.
