While the little ones take their first turns in the children's area, older children and adults ski down the easy to intermediate slopes in the ski area. Tobogganing and snow tubing are also great fun, with speed lovers hurtling down the slope on a large tyre. Cross-country skiing fans can get on one of the four cross-country ski trails at Homberg in Züschen and enjoy the panoramic view. The approximately 4 km long premium winter hiking trail, which starts at Homberg, rounds off the offer. In the Homberg-Ziegenhelle ski area, winter sports enthusiasts are taken up the mountain by six lifts. The wide pistes are in the easy to medium range and are well suited for beginners. The DSV ski school at the lift offers beginner and advanced courses for skiers and snowboarders as well as children's ski courses. The latter are held at the children's area with two conveyor belts and are specially tailored to the needs of small children. Those who need the right equipment for a day on the slopes will find it at the on-site ski rental. Hungry and thirsty skiers will find culinary supplies in the new outdoor snack bars and in the freshly renovated and traditional Homberg Jause.

Nordic/Winter hiking

Cross-country skiers can start directly from the Homberg-Ziegenhelle ski area on four trails with a length of between 2 km and 15 km. The surroundings of the town of Winterberg, just 5 km away, offer an even greater choice. Around the mountain there, the Kahler Asten, there are around 150 km of prepared cross-country ski trails to explore the area in both classic and skating style. Speed fans can whizz down the toboggan slope in the ski area on their toboggans or airboards, or try out the snow tubing facility. On large tyres, the specially designed track takes you down towards the valley in a sitting or lying position. For winter hikers, there is a premium hiking trail that starts directly in the ski area. In addition, one of the six other premium hiking trails in the region around Winterberg can be selected for a snow walk;

Public transport

By train to Winterberg, take the S50 bus to the Züschen Mitte bus stop, walk the remaining 1000 m to the lift.

Getting there

Take the A46 to the Bestwig exit, continue on the B7 to Dümel, on the B480 to Winterberg, on the B236 and the Mollseifener Straße to the ski lift.
