Alpine trail Hintersee
Somewhat south of the small village of Hintersee, in the hidden corner of the Salzkammergut, we hike along the slopes of Ladenberg, Sattelköpfl, Regenspitz and Feichtenstein through the valleys of Ladenbach and Tiefenbach. We do not follow a traditional hiking trail, but an old alpine path that has been made accessible again. First we walk from the Satzstein, a „baffling block“ and power place of nature along the bubbling Ladenbach to the Hanslkirche, a 25 m deep cave, over which a small waterfall cascades. The next destination is the far-flung Ladenbergalm, which offers a cosy place to stop for refreshments in the Hauserhütte. The trail continues over a saddle to the next alpine pasture, the Bergalm, which with Neureith and Bergalm offers two snack stations in a wonderful ambience. There is a long trail through the coniferous forest to the Feichtenalm and then the descent via the Tiefenbachklamm viewing platform. In Hintersee there is a doll's house museum to visit.
