Distance 4.5 km
The Kleine Wäller Zwergenweg 2 is called “Fledermaus im Laubachtal” and starts at the forest festival area in Rengsdorf near the Roman moat, where there is also a large playground and the “Clubhouse” restaurant of the Rengsdorf tennis club. In the “Clubhouse” you can expect steaks, burgers or schnitzel as well as salads and cakes. The circular route is marked with a blue dwarf hat and is the most demanding of the three dwarf paths due to its 4.5 km and 230 meters altitude. The route consists mainly of forest and field paths. The Zwergenweg is also easy to walk with a stroller. Zwergenweg Rallye: Take the quiz sheet with you at the start (for the age groups 5-7 years or 8-10 years) and solve the exciting rally on the way. If you can guess the correct answer, you will receive a small present from the tourist information offices in Rengsdorf or Waldbreitbach. The rally takes place on the red and blue dwarf trails.
Author’s recommendation
The “Fledermaus im Laubachtal” dwarf trail is one of three dwarf trails around Rengsdorf. Another is the 4.5 km long Zwergenweg 1 with the title "Water fun and game reserve". It is marked with a red dwarf hat and leads along the Völkerwiesenbach past a game reserve and the outdoor pool. The 2 km long Zwergenweg 3 under the motto “Apple Path at the Herb Garden” is signposted with a green dwarf hat. It runs around the children's herb garden and through the orchards.

Turn-by-turn directions
From the Waldfestplatz parking lot we walk - always following the blue pointed cap - towards the grill hut, shortly after the hut we turn right until we come to the hiking bridge over the B256. After crossing it, we keep to the left on the hiking trail and follow the route to the Laubachswinkel hut. 100 m further comes the footbridge, here we cross the Laubach. On the other bank it goes back and after about 200 m again over a small bridge. Further downhill we get to the bat cave. After approx. 400 m it goes slightly uphill again on the opposite side of the stream. 200 m further on there is an information board for the "water educational trail". Shortly before the Laubachswinkel hut we turn right towards the parking lot. On the way back we cross the B256 again, we pass the tennis hut and the “Clubhouse” restaurant and come to a large playground.
