At the Lasserbauer you can park super. From there it goes over a road in the field along the Looswand towards Sattel.

There you can go right in the direction of Schmittenstein and Schlenken, but if you keep sharp left you come about after a 3/4 hour walk to the 2 managed huts in the Bergalm.

If you choose the longer route, the starting point is the Gaissau village center.

After 400 m along the main road in the direction of the Gaissau Hintersee ski area, a beautiful forest path leaves to the right.

Always along the Mörtelbach, about 3 km. After a small bridge, the climb begins in the direction of Zisterbergalm.

Past the 4 huts ( one of them is managed in good weather), you can already see the saddle.

There you can hike to the right in the direction of Schmittenstein and Schlenken.

If you keep sharp left, however, you come about after a 3/4 hour walk to the 2 managed huts in the Bergalm.

Author’s recommendation

For children this hike is ideal. Not too long and not too steep.

The children can run a little ahead, but you have them trozdem always in sight.

And the playground in front of the huts on the mountain pasture is perhaps an incentive for the little hikers.
