This hike begins in the center of Puch and leads via the Schatteingut in the direction of the “Maple Tree Natural Monument” at the Schartengut. From there, steeply uphill towards the Almerberg, then a winding downhill path taking you past Reithof Wiesengut and back to the starting point.

Author’s recommendation

  • On the path to the Schartengut, you will walk past locations that also inspired the makers of “The Sound of Music”.
  • The magnificent views of the Salzach River Valley make this tour a special experience indeed.
  • Several refreshment options locally: see www.puch-salzburg.com
