European Long Distance Trail E1 - German section from Flensburg to Constance
The European long-distance hiking trail E1 starts at the North Cape in Norway and covers a distance of about 7000 km, crossing Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland until it finally reaches Salerno in Italy. In the future, the route will continue to Sicily. This tour describes the German section of the E1 from Flensburg to Konstanz. It is about 1900 km long and is officially divided into 76 stages. The starting point for this multi-faceted and world-famous long-distance hiking adventure is Flensburg, the northernmost city in the Federal Republic of Germany. From there, it goes along the Schleswig ünature park via a sweeping loop to the state capital of Schleswig-Holstein, Kiel. The next major stage destination is Lübeck, from where we make our way through the Lauenburg Lakes Nature Park to Hamburg.
