The tour to the Kehlsteinhaus high above Berchtesgaden impresses with a magnificent 360-degree panorama. At the end, there is also a moody single trail that puts our riding skills to the test.

While we cycle along in a comparatively relaxed manner until we reach the Scharitzkehlalm, our leg strength is then challenged all the more. The old military road winds steeply up towards the Kehlstein. From the car park at the Kehlstein lift, we can set off on foot to the Kehlsteinhaus, accompanied by veritable crowds of tourists.However, the outstanding view of the Königssee with the Watzmann towering behind it, the Hochkalter and the Hoher Göll is well worth the short climb. Today's mountain inn and former Nazi headquarters is enthroned on a rocky outcrop like an eagle's nest. This earned it the nickname "Eagle's Nest". Finally, we continue by bike to the Rossfeld, where we are rewarded with another fantastic panorama after the steep and sweaty ascent. Finally, we return to the valley via an exciting trail that promises great downhill fun, especially for experienced riders.

Turn-by-turn directions
Start the tour at the Süd toll station on the Roßfeldpanoramastrasse. Follow the B319 to the roundabout just before the Obersalzberg mountain inn. Change here to the Scharitzkehlstrasse (BGL19). Pass the Sonneck (refreshment stop) to the Scharitzkehlalm (refreshment stop). Now follow the asphalted path to the Ligeretalm and continue in the direction of the Kehlstein. Turn off at the car park and bus turnaround at the Kehlstein lift. From here walk or take the lift to the Kehlsteinhaus (approx. 60 metres uphill, refreshments available). Take the same path back to the first large fork in the road. Turn right here in the direction of Enzianhütte. At the junction with the main road (B999), keep right. Just before the hut, turn right to the Eckersattel. On gravelled or asphalted paths to Ahornkaser (refreshment stop) and continue in the direction of Rossfeld. Soon join the B999 (Roßfeldpanoramastrasse). Pass the Rossfeld ski hut (refreshment stop). Shortly after the Roßfeldalm, turn left onto a narrow path. Follow this downhill to Buchenhöhe. Follow the road back to the Süd toll station on the Roßfeldpanoramastraße.
