The Way of St. James Marburg-Cologne takes us from the burial church of St. Elisabeth in Marburg through western Hesse, the Siegerland and the Bergisch Land to the cathedral city of Cologne.

The Way of St. James Marburg-Cologne is a historically documented pilgrimage route from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre of St. Elisabeth in Marburg, Hesse, via the Westphalian trading town of Siegen to Cologne. From east to west, it connects the Ecumenical Pilgrims' Way starting in Görlitz on the border with Poland with the Rhenish paths of the St James pilgrims, which continue into other European countries towards Santiago de Compostela. In the opposite direction, the path has also been signposted as the Elisabeth Path since 2007. For the 165 km long route, you can mainly use the historic route through quiet, varied low mountain landscape with half-timbered villages far away from today's major traffic routes.
